Meet the Companions (Part 1!)
Many of our very own team members have their own pets and companions that inspired their love of animals. This post will cover just a few of the many from two different team members.
Our first three pets of today are all Amanda’s friends! Amanda is currently part of our social media team, specializing in making posts for Instagram.
The first on our list is Sam, a gentle Maltese poodle mix with a soft spot for cuddles once he gets to know someone. Despite his sweet nature, don’t be fooled, because Sam still gets the best zoomies! He loves to be outside for some fun playtime.
Next on our list is Maltese Shih Tzu mix pup named Coconut! He is an extroverted, energetic, and rambunctious one, and absolutely adores being around people. Coconut is absolutely a food driven pup, and he’s not a picky eater in the slightest. Despite his autoimmune disease, there really is nothing that can stop him!
For our third, we have Pumpkin, a foster dog currently living with Amanda! He’s a mutt who could have a bit of Labrador retriever, boxer and maybe Rhodesian Ridgeback mixed in. He's sassy but gentle, despite how big he is. As they care for him, Pumpkin is working on getting over his hesitancy around men and is looking for a good home!
Last but certainly not least, we have Akani! Akani is the buddy of Anusha, our very own blog team division lead! She’s a mix of golden retriever and german shepherd, always eager to meet new dogs. She loves playing with toys and chasing after you. Sometimes she gets excited and likes to eat grass--leading to the nickname of Cow.
Our team’s very own pets and companions are the reason why we love what we do. They serve as motivators for us to help other dogs in the shelters we work with, so we hope you enjoyed getting to know some of them!
