Pupcycled Funding and Financials
As a nonprofit, Pupcycled operates largely on our community’s support! Here are just some of the ways your donations reach us, and how they’re being used.
The recycled materials we use for our toys mostly come from donation bins that we put out at local libraries. It’s thanks to our community’s help that we are able to constantly have enough material to work with to make our toys. If you are interested in donating (which we are always happy to accept), please take a look at https://www.pupcycled.org/donate for specifics on our process.
In addition to our material donations, Pupcycled also has a GoFundMe where supporters can help donate money to allow our team to purchase what we need. While Pupcycled operates largely at no cost, donated funds from our supporters are used to enhance the toy making experience. For example, tools used in the toy-making process — such as electric scissors, sewing machines, or storage bins for clothes — have been one aspect that we spend the most on. Another way Pupcycled uses our funds is by spending on squeakers which we add in our plush chew toys. To find out more information about money donations, visit https://gofund.me/d6feed6b!
Since Pupcycled has many chapters across the nation, the supplies and materials needed for these events aren’t always available to all our chapter heads. That is why donations are so helpful; they allow our team to be more flexible in our purchases and expand to regularly host events at more locations. Every supporting donation and every subsequent purchase our team makes directly contributes to the creation of new toys for the shelter animals we support and love.
