Introducing Our New Chapters!!

Although Pupcycled was only recently founded, we already have 6 chapters in cities across the US! These chapters are located in Palo Alto, San Francisco, San Jose, and Morgan Hill CA, Aurora CO, and Grand Rapids MI. Despite each chapter bringing something unique to the organization, it all began in the Bay Area with Sophia Liu and Olivia Liu. “The Bay Area chapter was the very first Pupcycled chapter! We currently have two subdivisions (San Jose and Palo Alto), and we have made over 1,600 dog toys for shelters! We are so excited to have the new chapters join us and we hope to help more dogs worldwide,” Said founder Olivia Liu. While it is currently the most active area of Pupcycled, we hope to bring in more and more areas of the US as the organization grows.

The team having fun at Bay Area chapter events!

Fortunately, there are some areas where this is already beginning to happen. For example, The Aurora branch of Pupcycled--Run by team member and head of Social Media Megan Yee--has had several successful events already. “The Aurora, CO chapter of Pupcycled is excited to represent the mission of Pupcycled! We aspire to contribute to eco-friendly products and provide for shelter dogs in need. Our upcoming volunteer opportunity is projected to have 20+ volunteers and we can't wait to expand our impact!” She said when asked to describe the chapter. Despite being located nearly 20 hour away from Pupcycled’s home base in California, the impact of the Colorado chapter is visible and growing by the day!

While we are of course happy with the progress that Pupcycled has made in spreading our mission as far as it can reach, we still hope to grow our impact even further. I plan to grow my personal involvement this year in starting a chapter of my own in Michigan. I’m excited to begin to reach out to those in my area beyond myself and those who know of Pupcycled through volunteering events and public education. As the head of my school’s Eco Club, I hope to incorporate Pupcycled into that and create change in my school and community. I’m excited to see where the chapter takes us! If you’re interested in beginning a chapter in your own community, please reach out to us to let us know. We’re always looking to grow the mission of Pupcycled!
